SOLO-JEC KC is an intranasal vaccine that protects against two common causes of kennel cough:

  • Bordetella bronchiseptica
  • Canine parainfluenza

Include SOLO-JEC KC in your dog's regular vaccination schedule to protect against kennel cough.

Intranasal administration of the vaccine into the dog’s nose stimulates immunity inside the nasal passage where much of the disease process begins. Intranasal administration eliminates the risk of injection site discomfort.
Onset of protection begins as early as 48 hours after administration.
Flexible dosing from 0.5 ml to 1 ml to fit the size of the dog
Safe for use in puppies as young as three weeks of age. Puppies vaccinated between 3 and 6 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 6 weeks of age.

We recommend ordering vaccines on MONDAY or TUESDAY. To reduce the chance of your vaccine order being exposed to excessive heat or cold, use overnight or priority mail delivery. Vaccines shipped by any other method cannot be returned.

Prescription required for Minnesota.

SOLO-JEC KC is administered intranasally (in the nose). The vaccine has the flexibility to customize the dose to fit the size of the dog – either a full volume dose or ½ volume dose which may be more comfortable for small dogs. Note that a ½ volume dose does not mean the dog is receiving ½ the vaccine. The vaccine is in the dry cake so a ½ volume dose means there is ½ the liquid but a full amount of vaccine.

Step 1: Prepare the vaccine by removing the metal seal and rubber stopper from the top of each bottle. Using the dropper that is provided in the bag, withdraw either all the liquid or ½ the liquid.
Step 2: Regardless of whether you are vaccinating with a full volume or ½ volume, squeeze the liquid in the dropper into the dry vaccine bottle. Replace the rubber stopper and shake well.
Step 3: Withdraw the mixture into the dropper.
Step 4: Tilt the dog’s head up slightly and squeeze ½ the liquid mixture into each nostril or if its easier you can squeeze the full amount into one nostril. Be sure to administer the vaccine immediately after mixing.
Puppies 6 weeks or older:

Vaccinate at 6 weeks of age or older with no booster required. Annual revaccination is recommended.

Puppies 3 to 6 weeks:

If puppies are in high risk environments such as shelters, breeding facilities, or boarding kennels, puppies may be vaccinated with SOLO-JEC KC as young as three weeks of age. A booster dose is required at 6 weeks of age. Annual revaccination is recommended.
