Proin is the only FDA-approved phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride medication for the treatment of canine urinary incontinence due to urethral sphincter hypotonus. Urethral sphincter hypotonus causes canine urinary incontinence as a result of weakened muscles of the urethral sphincter. Proin works by increasing urethral sphincter muscle tone to help prevent urinary accidents.

Availabe in three tablet strengths of half scored, liver-flavored tablets to tailor the dosage for most dogs.

Common clinical signs of urinary incontinence in dogs include:
  • Dripping or leaking urine
  • Excessive licking of the genital area
  • Red and irritated skin around the genital area
  • Needing to go more frequently than normal
  • Wetting the bed or sleeping area
  • Urinating inappropriately in the house

For oral use in dogs only. Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. If accidentally ingested by humans, contact a physician immediately.

Proin may cause elevated blood pressure and should be used with caution in dogs with pre-existing heart disease, high blood pressure, liver disease, kidney insufficiency, diabetes, glaucoma, and other conditions associated with high blood pressure.

I read a couple of random reviews with one sounding like the customer didnt understand how manufacturing and retail are separate entities! So decided to try it and give Pet Supplies Delivered a chance! And it was great service quick delivery and the meds dont expire for 2 yrs from now!(someone elses review)! Im glad I gave them a try and will continue to use them if they keep beating the big online stores pricing!! Thanks PSD! Its weird tho that it states i cant use commas periods apostrophes etc in this review
